When looking at the functions and features of the Panasonic TX-P46G20 plasma television, understand first of all that this 46-inch TV is a new model from this innovative Japanese maker of high-quality consumer electronics. It belongs to the time-tested and time-honored Viera line of TVs, and it offers a great many features and conveniences that most UK buyers will appreciate greatly.
Panasonic includes a couple of different tuning filters in its higher-line televisions, and this one has them both, including the newer Freeview-HD function. With it, there’s little chance of noticing any discernible blurring, artifacts or smearing of the images on the screen. This shows especially well during high-speed action sequences. Panasonic says that this is controlled by something called “Intelligent Frame Creation Pro, ” by the way.
New to this lineup of Panasonic televisions is the WiFi and Skype-ready features that only require use of a USB adapter and optional dongle to make it all happen. The company says that the plasma screen included in the television will last for over 100,000 hours. It’s probably a good bet that the TV will outlast its users, in other words. Additionally, the TV can be connected to a wide variety of devices quite easily.
As evidence of its ease-of-connectivity, Panasonic has included four HDMI input ports, Ethernet and audio outs and two different USB 2.0 ports. If desired, a user can connect a laptop or PC to the TV in no time at all and the TV also has an SD memory card slot to bolster its functions. As far as sound goes, it’s first-rate and includes Dolby THX surround sound functionality.
When looked at in its entirety, there’s much to be pleased about when it comes to the Panasonic TX-P46G20 plasma screen television. It’s a noticeable improvement over the older line of TVs it’s meant to replace, as well, and it also looks stylish in glossy piano black. Most UK buyers will be able to find the TV for around 1300 British pounds, after application of a 60-pound voucher and inclusion of VAT.
