Is there one particular chair in your house that you always go to because you know you are going to like sitting there? Do you have enough room to share it with some one else that you love enough to share it with? You might have had a chair years ago that was not really a chair, but it was a comfortable place to flop down and you could throw it around anywhere you wanted to. You might have had one in your room when you were a kid or even when you went off to college. If you were a hippie with your own pad, you probably had one for sure!
Of course, it is a bean bag chair. Back in the 1960’s and 70’s, plenty of people had them. They were fun because you could throw them down anywhere and use them to sit on or lay on. Kids loved them, but most of the time they were just not quite big enough for adults to use comfortably. Eventually, most of the bean bags would end up springing a leak and the little white pellets they were filled with would get all over place. Nine times out of ten they would end up in the trash can never be replaced.
As with many things, they fade out and then one day they come back. This is sort of what has happened with the bean bag chair. Although they never completely disappeared, they were not seen in homes nearly as much. People still get them for their kids today, but they are a little fuller and better made. You can buy very large ones that are more comfortable for adults to use.
There is a new chair on the market that is a lot like a bean bag. It is big enough for two people to sit in very comfortably and it is not so close to the floor. The greatest thing about it is that it is made almost like a love seat! Adults love these big off the floor bean bag chairs because they are the perfect chair for cuddling, watching TV, reading, or even to lay video games in. You would be amazed at the number of adults that play video games these days.
When you get one of these bean bag love seats it will be the most popular seat in the house. The kids can share it sometimes if your lucky and you will likely have to run them out if you want to sit in it yourself. Don’t let the cat or dog find out how great they are or you will be fighting them over it too. The best solution will be to just by two of them. One for everyone else and one for you!
