Having home inspections performed prior to purchasing is a big deal for most people and in order to make sure it is done right a person should know what is being looked at. On the outside the roof and gutter systems are reviewed for damage and functionality. Also if there is a sprinkler system installed, it will be tested to make sure it is in working condition with no broken parts. The foundation is also looked at, because if the foundation starts to crumble then the house will crumble as well.

In order to finish, an inspector will look at the garage if there is one and make sure the outlets are working properly. They will also check for proper ventilation along with checking the door to make sure it opens and closes properly. Garage door openers and sensor are examined and deemed working or non-working as well.
